MEMBERSHIP REVOCATION FOR CLASSIFIED EMPLOYEES

Colorado public school employees who aren’t teachers or other licensed professionals often are covered by a classified employee collective bargaining contract. Such employees include teachers aides (paraprofessionals), administrative / office workers, bus drivers, maintenance workers and food service workers. Information below on classified employee union opt-out dates is arranged alphabetically by districts. (If a district is not included below, it does not have a limited opt-out window.)

Dates are highlighted in red:

  • ADAMS 12 FIVE STAR SCHOOLS: Must sign a Drop Deduction form at the CSEA office between DEC 1 and DEC 31
  • ADAMS COUNTY 14 (Commerce City): Must notify the District office payroll department and association office in writing between JAN 1 and JAN 15
  • ANTONITO (South Conejos): MEMBERS and NON-MEMBERS must execute a revocation form provided by the association and return completed form to the association between SEPT 1 and SEPT 17
  • BRIGHTON: MEMBERS and NON-MEMBERS must “indicate by requesting a revocation from from CCSEA” between AUG 15 and SEPT 1
  • CANON CITY (Fremont Re-1): SEPT 1 – SEPT 15
  • DENVER: By job title
    -Bus Drivers and Mechanics: MEMBERS and NON-MEMBERS must obtain a revocation form from the union office on 360 Acoma St. and submit between SEPT 1 and SEPT 15
    -Custodians: Must notify the DPS payroll office on an appropriate form between DEC 1 and DEC 15
    -Education Office Personnel (e.g. secretaries, bookkeepers): Must notify the DPS payroll office on a standard revocation form between JUN 1 and JUN 30
    -Facility Managers: Must submit a request in writing between SEPT 1 and SEPT 10
    -Food Service Workers: Must notify the District secretary in writing or complete a revocation form between SEPT 1 and SEPT 30
    -Paraprofessionals: Must complete approved Revocation of Dues Deduction form at the union office between SEPT 1 and SEPT 7
  • DOUGLAS COUNTY bus drivers (ATU only): must submit mutually agreeable form between SEPT 1 and SEPT 15
  • DURANGO: must submit request in writing by SEPT 30
  • PUEBLO 60: By job title
    -Bus drivers, Custodians, Maintenance workers, Education Support Personnel, Paraprofessionals: MEMBERS and NON-MEMBERS must send a certified request return receipt letter, to be received at the UniServ office, with a copy sent to the district payroll office, between SEPT 1 and SEPT 15
    -Education assistants, Hourly nutrition workers: Revocation forms for MEMBERS and NON-MEMBERS “can be obtained only on request by calling 1-800-421-CSEA (2732) during the period of August 25 and September 15. The certified written notification letter must be signed and received in the CCSEA office, with a copy sent to the District’s payroll office” between AUG 25 and SEPT 15
  • PUEBLO 70: MEMBERS and NON-MEMBERS must send a certified return receipt letter, to be received at the UniServ office between SEPT 1 and SEPT 15
  • TRINIDAD: Must request revocation by certified return receipt letter to the association between AUG 1 and AUG 15
